25 Day Fund Raising Challenge

Team Mia is launching a 25 day challenge, which will end on July 18, 2008.  We are looking for 50 people to help raise $25,000.  If you are willing to be a team captain and raise $1,000 please send an email to mia@miajones.org or give us a call at (904) 563-4481.  Remember no contribution is too small, but the maximum contribution from an individual or organization is $500. Contributions may be sent to: 221 N. Hogan Street #169, Jacksonville, FL 32202 or dropped off at the Campaign Headquarters located in the Gateway Town Center (5238-2 Norwood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32208). 

Knowlege is Power

Jones strives to ensure that citizens are armed with information that helps them understand new policy changes and procedures, as they relate to the Stormwater Fee and the Exemption.  On Monday, June 23, 2008 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Raines High School (3663 Raines Avenue), Councilwoman Mia Jones will hold a community meeting to help citizens take advantage of the Stormwater Fee Exemption.

Highlights of Mia’s Previous Week in Review

·Hosted a Community Meeting for the Stormwater Exemption Program.
·Participated in the AIF Candidate Screening Program. 
·Join the Westside Rotary Clubs during their regularly scheduled meeting.
·Met with District 14 residents at the home of Ros Phillips.   
·Met Senator Obama during his visit to Jacksonville.
